Inverclyde Taxis attains ISO Quality Accreditation
The hard work and significant time and effort of all members of the Inverclyde Taxis' team finally paid off when the company successfully achieved ISO Quality Accreditation 9001:2008 this month.

Henry Glasgow, MD of Glasgow Airport Taxis thanked all staff for their efforts.  The award is part of the company's continuous drive to offer all of its clients a consistently first-class service. (June 09)

Port Glasgow woman wins our competition
Frances Kerr was the lucky woman who won our lucky prize draw to win a fantastic 42" flat screen TV.
To promote the launch of our new automated despatch service, Inverclyde Taxis ran a free prize draw for all clients who signed up for the new service within the first month. (Oct 08)
A surprised Frances commented,

"I'm absolutely delighted with the television which I think I will give to my mother as a surprise.  The new despatch service is great and so simple to use.  I can call the taxi office number, press 1 on my phone and my taxi is automatically sent.  I'm glad I registered for the free service!"

Inverclyde Taxis launch innovative booking system
Inverclyde Taxis & ABC Taxis are all set to offer clients their latest ‘instant taxi’ booking service from today.  Callers to the local operations centre will have the opportunity to use the taxi operator's new quick and simple automated booking system.

 Isabella McCall, Operations Supervisor explains how the instant taxi booking system works:

 “The new system is so straightforward and easy to use.  Clients just call their usual number – then press 1 on their phone.  That’s it!  The system then automatically dispatches the next available car that is nearest to your address.  It just couldn’t be any easier!”

 Isabella continued, “Instant taxi is brilliant for all callers  – for example, maybe someone who phones every morning for a taxi to work.  Clients can use ‘instant taxi’ and save themselves some valuable time every morning.  And of course, myself or a member of the team will always be available to assist any clients who prefer the personal touch.”

 To support the launch of the ‘instant taxis’ booking service, all callers who register for the new service by Friday 31 October, will be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic 42” flat screen TV. 

 The instant taxi service will initially be available to all callers from a landline.  Callers will need to register for the free service, which will take no more than a few seconds.  Then, it’s all system go and callers can simply dial and press 1 every time they need a taxi from home.

 Henry Glasgow, Managing Director is looking forward to the roll-out of this latest service:

 “We are delighted to offer all our clients the enhancement of the ‘instant taxi’ booking service.  It simplifies the booking process for our clients making regular and repeat journeys – saving you time on making the booking itself and resulting in a quicker dispatch of your taxi.”


Inverclyde Taxis supports Damian's Law petition
More than 300 signatures from drivers and operators at Inverclyde Taxis were passed to John Muir, in support of his efforts to have Damian's Law added to the statute book.  Damian's Law, named after Mr Muir's son, would introduce a mandatory sentence for anyone caught carrying a knife.  Mr Muir's son was murdered as he walked home after a night out in 2007.

Inverclyde Taxis has invested in the purchase of the latest taxi technology system.  The state-of-the-art system gives Inverclyde taxi users access to a number of fantastic benefits.  All cars will be fitted with GPS technology which allows the closest car to the passengers location being dispatched - getting the closest car to you and cutting down on waiting time.
